On November 12, 2014, the organizing committee of International Chinese Film Festival had disclosed details of its upcoming award ceremony at the press conference event held in Crown Melbourne. Being one of the distinguished events in history of Asian entertainment, the main goals of partnership between ICFF and PR Asia were to recognise the excellence of Mandarin films from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan etc, while fulfilling its missions in promoting Mandarin films in global market, as well as cultivating communication and collaboration between Chinese film industry professionals and their international counterparts.

According to the chairman and founder of ICFF, Ms. Lanwei Gong, the 6th International Chinese Film Festival will be held concurrently in both Melbourne and Sydney, in which its award ceremony will be scheduled on 29th November 2014 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm at The Grand Palladium Room, Crown Melbourne. At the press conference, the member of the Australian House of Representatives, Tim Watts, has expressed his views on importance of Chinese culture in constituting the Australia's cultural diversity, as well as his best wishes to the success of organizing award ceremony.
